Senior Helper

Becoming a senior helper or young volunteer at the BYP is an excellent way of gaining skills and experience in working as part of a team. It can also be a real confidence boost as well as good fun!. many of our senior helpers have gone on to find employment or college places with the help and support of the BYP.

Most of our senior helpers have been awarded ‘The Ashburton Community Award’ for volunteering their time to help within the community. The Ashburton Community Award scheme is an excellent way of gaining a good reference for an employer or organization.

To volunteer as a Senior Helper you first must be a member of the BYP. Be 13 or over, and be free to offer your help at least once a week.

If that suits you! Speak to one of the staff members about it…
