We had an absolutely bubbly time at this year’s Ashburton Carnival as our fantastic young people brought Bikini Bottom to life! Dressed as characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, they turned heads, raised smiles, and showed off their incredible creativity. The dedication they put into designing and creating their outfits was truly impressive – and the results were nothing short of amazing.
We’d also like to give a huge shout-out to our incredible youth workers who supported the young people every step of the way. Through helping with costumes, organising the group, and cheering them on, their encouragement made the day extra special.
🌊 Leave No Trace – A Sponge-Worthy Message!
Alongside the fun, we also used the opportunity to share an important message about protecting our environment. Inspired by SpongeBob’s under-the-sea home, the group promoted a “Leave No Trace” approach, reminding everyone to take care of our beaches and public spaces. Their commitment to both fun and responsibility was a real highlight.
It was a brilliant day full of laughter and community spirit. We’re proud of each and every one of our young people – and we already can’t wait for next year!
