Please support BYP
BYP relies on donations and grants large and small. There are several secure ways to give:
A regular donation
A regular donation for even a small amount, makes a big difference to secure BYP’s regular presence for local young people.
Standing orders that you set up with your bank – or one-off BACS payments – present no service charge to you or BYP. If you are a UK taxpayer, see Gift Aid information below, so you can add 25% to your gift.
Gift Aid
If you have, or are considering, donating to BYP and are a UK taxpayer, can you make a Gift Aid declaration so BYP can claim another 25% from HMRC?
Copy/Paste the following message into your email, complete it, and send it to us at accounts@bankyouthproject.org.uk
Charity Gift Aid – multiple donation
Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.
Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.
Tick here if you want to Gift Aid your donation: _____
I want to Gift Aid my donation of £ _______ and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past four years to The Bank Youth Project (Charity Number 1075067).
I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference. My details are:
Title:
First Name (or initials):
Surname:
Full Home Address:
Post code: Date:
Please notify BYP if you:
- Want to cancel this declaration.
- Change your name or home address
- No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
If you pay income tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
Donate online via PayPal
You can make a donation to BYP through the PayPal Giving Fund site (no transaction fee, so your whole donation comes to BYP – they can also collect Gift Aid from HMRC on our behalf for us for donations made through their Giving Fund)
Other ways to donate
Donate direct by BACS transfer – and let us know so we can thank you!
Send a cheque made out to ‘Bank Youth Project’ to Bank Youth Project, 10 East St, Ashburton TQ13 7AA.
Play the Teignbridge Lottery with a chance to win thousands of pounds or other prizes in weekly draws, while also contributing half of each £1 ticket to BYP as your chosen charity.
Support fundraising events by local organisations supporting BYP – we are grateful for the support of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh Rotary Club, WI and other groups who support us.
Withdraw cash at the Ashburton Post Office, who donate 1p/transaction.
There are also coin collection tins at several businesses in Ashburton, including Ashburton Wholefoods, Tidballs, Moor Chocolate, Red Mullet Fish and Chips and Diablos Cafe.
It all helps. Thank you to everyone who supports the young people of Ashburton!
Fundraising support
Could you help us to apply for grants? Or maybe even raise funds for BYP?

Or could you offer something specific, such as:

Feedback
Help us by sharing feedback and examples of what BYP means to young people.
This helps us review and plan what we do. Capturing stories and experiences can also be useful when we apply for funding or report on the impact BYP makes.
Your feedback will be handled confidentially and, if included in reports or published, will be anonymous.
