New Friday Session: Dungeons & Dragons

Nov 9, 2025 | News

We’re thrilled to announce that our Dungeons & Dragons (DnD) sessions are starting this month, held every Friday at BYP for our pre-registered members.

This small group offers a safe, welcoming and imaginative space where young people can explore creativity, teamwork and storytelling through the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

What is Dungeons & Dragons?

DnD is a tabletop role-playing game where you and your friends create characters, go on adventures, and work together to solve challenges. One person acts as the Dungeon Master (DM), guiding the story and describing the world around you.

Players take turns deciding what their characters do — exploring, solving puzzles, helping others, or battling monsters — with the outcome decided by rolling a dice. It’s all about teamwork, imagination and having fun!

How We’ll Play

To keep it simple and enjoyable for everyone:

  • Our DM will gently guide the story, making sure everyone gets a turn and can contribute.

  • We’ll focus on collaboration, problem-solving and communication rather than complicated rules.

  • Characters will have easy-to-follow sheets and clear abilities, with support provided every step of the way.

  • Games will be paced to suit all abilities, keeping things calm, inclusive and fun.

A Few Friendly Rules

  • Listen and take turns so everyone gets a chance to play.

  • Respect each other’s ideas — there are no wrong answers in storytelling!

  • Ask for help whenever you’re unsure.

  • Most importantly, have fun and let your imagination run wild!

This DnD group is designed especially for our SEND members who have already registered, giving them a chance to develop social skills, creativity and confidence through play.
