Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting on Monday 9th June 2025. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the past year’s achievements, challenges, and to look ahead at how we continue to support young people in Ashburton and the surrounding area.
We are incredibly grateful to all our trustees, staff, volunteers and supporters for their dedication throughout the year. At this year’s AGM, we marked the end of office of our Chair Deborah Sterling, who has led the charity with passion and commitment for the past year and welcomed Lynn Travers-Howard as a new member of the Management Group.
We also bid farewell to Peter Brewer who has been a strong supporter of BYP, trustee and previous Chair for many years and sadly passed away this month. We are especially grateful to Brewer family, who have chosen to donate funds raised at his funeral to the charity—an incredibly kind and meaningful gesture.
Key points from the meeting included:
-
Updates on youth work programmes and engagement
-
A review of financial reports and fundraising progress
-
A call for new trustees and ongoing community support
We continue to look for committed individuals who may be interested in becoming trustees or offering practical support. Please do get in touch if this is something you’d like to explore.
